Bakery Hill Australian Whisky 5 Years Old TBWC Batch 1

This first batch of 5-year-old Bakery Hill Australian Whisky by TBWC is a peaty single malt from the Bakery Hill distillery, which matured in an ex-bourbon cask and is bottled at 50% ABV. The Bakery Hill Distillery was founded in 1999 by David Baker, in order to prove that ‘great single malt whiskies could be made outside of Scotland, and specifically in Australia’. They launched their first single malt in autumn 2003. The label shows David and his son Andrew as the main characters in Breaking Bad, a reference to David’s former career as a high school chemistry teacher. Their motor-home is filled with casks instead of, you know, drugs. Only 429 bottles of Bakery Hill Australian Whisky 5 Years Old TBWC Batch 1 have been released. In recent years the whisky industry in Australia has grown exponentially, with over 50 distilleries currently having whiskies on the market. 2021 marks the first release of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Australia Series, which brings single malts from these new and innovative distilleries to whisky lovers from all over the world.
