Alberta Premium 20 Years Old Limited Edition was released in the fall of 2019 together with the Alberta Premium Cask Strength. It was slightly overshadowed by its companion release being named 2021 World Whisky of the Year, but we believe this 20-year-old expression deserves a place in the spotlight as well. Alberta Premium 20 Years Old Limited Edition is made with locally-grown rye grains and glacier-born water, and aged for 20 years in charred oak casks. The whisky is mellow and full of character. On the nose, you’ll find aromas of buttery caramel, rich vanilla and spicy oak. The palate is ultra-smooth with the sweetness from the caramel and toffee notes combining with the spiciness of rye and underlying wood. The finish is warm and lingering with hints of caramel, toffee and spice.
