The worlds of whisky and beer collide in Agitator Evidens: Porter Cask from the innovative Agitator distillery in Arboga, Sweden. The whisky has been aged in barrels that previously contained the famous Stormaktsporter imperial stout from the Närke Kulturbryggeri microbrewery in Örebro, giving the spirit deep and rich porter tones. To balance the bold character, it was combined with peaty whisky aged in new oak casks. Agitator Evidens: Porter Cask offers powerful aromas of smoke and porter. Deep notes of dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt combine with subtle hints of peat smoke, vanilla and light oak. A complex spectrum of flavours brings rich chocolate, coffee and caramel. The smooth sweetness is balanced by spicy oak and a light saltiness. The finish is long-lasting with a soft, smoky aftertaste that lingers like a mild autumn evening by the fire.
