Akkeshi is the second whisky distillery to open on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. Originally famous for its oysters and its dairy products, this Island of Hokkaido is now gaining a strong reputation for its drams. Akkeshi has been instrumental in putting Hokkaido on the whisky map, with its dedication to producing a strong peaty and smoky whisky that sets it apart from the typical Japanese style. Akkeshi Daikan The Peak Of Winter 2022 is blended from Akkeshi single malt along with new make imported grain whisky matured at the Akkeshi distillery.
