Broodmares during Gestation Feed 1/2 to 3/4 pound per 100 lbs. of body weight per head per day in addition to free-choice hay or pasture. Broodmares during Lactation Feed 3/4 to 1 1/4 pounds per 100 lbs. of body weight per head per day in addition to free-choice hay or pasture. Adjust intake according to stages of lactation, pasture conditions and body condition of mares. Mature Performance Horses Feed 3/4 to 1 1/4 pounds per 100 lbs. of body weight per head per day plus hay. Adjust amount of feed according to work and activity level and desired body condition.
