It has been released by German independent bottler FRC. This edition is dedicated to the platypus: this unusual egg-laying mammal has characteristics of a duck, beaver and otter, and has become an iconic symbol of Australia. Beenleigh 7 Years Old FRC Platypus Edition is a molasses rum that was distilled in both column and pot stills. It first aged for 5 years under the Australian sun in bourbon casks and was then finished for 2 years in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks on the European continent.
