The Jamaican Appleton Estate is one of the oldest rum producers in the world. The estate’s sugar plantations were already in operation in the 1600s and the company has been producing rum continuously since 1749. Together with Appleton’s Master Blender Joy Spence, rum connoisseur and Velier CEO Luca Gargano has released The Hearts Collection, featuring three rare rums from Appleton’s extensive stocks. Appleton Estate Hearts Collection 1994 Jamaica Rum (26 Years Old) is a 100% pot still rum, distilled in 1994 and bottled after 26 years at 60% ABV. For this rum, casks No. 407597 through No. 407608 were used. 3000 bottles were released in November 2020.
