Open Pollinated forage sorghum that will produce seed and high sugar qualities producing one big cutting of hay. Regrowth is poor with low to no Prussic acid issues. Goes by many names (red top cane, forage cane, orange cane, etc..) Used like other forage sorghums but with lower seedling vigor (slower to germinate and emerge) and lower yield potential. Does produce a lower hay quantity but with much higher palatability and sugar, if allowed grain can be harvested or silage. Like all sorghums manage livestock intake.
