Through the Grapevine is a collection curated by La Maison & Velier (LM&V), the joint venture between La Maison du Whisky and Velier. It is dedicated to revealing the artisan heart of Cognac. Each release is a single-cask bottling, free of additives, selected from independent family domaines whose craft, terroir and philosophy embody the future of Cognac while honouring its deepest traditions. Produced in limited quantities, TTG expressions are prized for their purity of distillate, unvarnished authenticity and the clarity with which they express their cru. Lot 63 from Jean-Luc Pasquet represents Grande Champagne in its most honest form. Drawn from a single cask and bottled at 45.6% ABV, it captures the domaine’s clay-limestone terroir with striking finesse. Springlike, luminous and defined by orchard fruit, fresh florals and gentle oak, this expression reflects Pasquet’s commitment to organic farming and meticulous craftsmanship. Aged in new oak before resting in seasoned casks, it unfolds with a natural elegance that feels both youthful and timeless. Located across 15 hectares divided between Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, the Pasquet family estate has been organically farmed since 1995. Traditionally rooted in ugni blanc, the domaine has since diversified to include folle blanche and montils, while also cultivating merlot and cabernet sauvignon for pineau des Charentes rosé. The Pasquet style is defined by precision, freshness and aromatic clarity, qualities that shine through unmistakably in Lot 63. This is a Cognac shaped by soil, season and stewardship rather than intervention, making it an essential reference point for connoisseurs of contemporary craft Cognac.
